Dünnfilmspeicher, zu den Magnetschichtspeichern zählende, in Dünnschichttechnik hergestellte Datenspeicher mit punktrasterartig aufgedampften ferromagnetischen Speicherelementen; diesen ist eine magnetische Vorzugsrichtung aufgeprägt, bezüglich der zwei stabile Zustände auftreten (binär).
